favorite juice!

LOVE THIS JUICE SO MUCH.  One head broccoli, three stalks celery, six or seven carrots, one bunch dino kale, two small or a half large beet and a nob of ginger.  I also throw in some of the hemp seed powder.  SO good.

yummy way to start off your day!

I cannot believe it’s almost been a month.  I feel fantastic (aside from the exhaustion from school work, senioritis is killing me right now) and I keep making these ridiculously delicious juices.  Today I added some raw hemp seed powder to my Mystic Mango kombucha (try it!) and I made this great kick start juice this morning.  I took about seven sprigs of cilantro, an entire bag of spinach and emptied the water from one young Thai coconut.  Very satisfying and fulfilling first thing in the morning.  Here’s to a successful month two!

day twenty two.

I really do enjoy fasting.  I think I’m going to go for the full sixty days.  It will be a piece of cake.  Right now, I’m inlovelovelovewith grapefruit grape juice, equal parts ruby red grapefruits and purple grapes with a little ginger.  Also just made a really delicious green juice with fennel, broccoli, parsley, kale, spinach basil and green apple.  Another one I make a lot (and thoroughly enjoy) is beet, apple, carrot with some nutritional yeast.  Good way to get those B vitamins and it taste delightful amidst the juice concoction.  And, I also really enjoyed this one earlier in the day, carrot, cucumber, mint, pineapple, celery.  These are all really delicious juices that I’ve been making myself frequently.  Give them a try!

juice!

Yeah, I’ve obviously been really bad at keeping tabs on what my daily intake is.  Anyways, it’s day 12 and I’m not going to be able to blog everyday, but I decided to give you guys the recipes of some of my favorite juices, I make different ones all the time and some are just stupidly delicious!

Here’s a couple:

  • One bunch of basil, five handfuls of spinach, one quarter pineapple, three small apples and a whole cucumber
  • Four celery stalks, two apples, seven carrots, a bunch of sunflower sprouts and a tablespoon nutritional yeast
  • Four oranges, third of a pineapple, nob of ginger and nine carrots

I will return in a few days with more new juices!

Pineapple Mango Salsa
1 Pineapple
3 Mangos
3 Large Beefsteak Tomatoes
1/2 Red Onion
Bundle of Green Onions
Bundle of Cilantro
1 Red Bell Pepper
Juice of 2 Lemons or Limes
Directions:
Dice all ingredients and mix into a bowl.
Mix all of the ingredients until the juices mix together.
When ready, sprinkle with lemon/lime and enjoy!

days four and five

I forgot to post yesterday!  But I will make it a goal to always get my days on here.

Yesterday’s consumption-

Juice:

  • three grapefruits and a nob of ginger
  • four oranges, six carrots, two small beets and a teaspoon of MSM
  • two tomatoes, one cucumber, sunflower sprouts, three celery stalks, parsley
  • two ounces wheat grass

Tea:

  • mango synergy kombucha

Also drank water from one young coconut and about a gallon of water

Today’s consumption-

Juice:

  • three grapefruits and a nob of ginger
  • four apples, one beet, five carrots and a tablespoon of nutritional yeast
  • four oranges and three pears
  • half a pineapple, one cucumber and five carrots

Tea:

  • mango synergy kombucha

Gallon of water

Fasting

I decided to do another extended juice fast at the beginning of the month.  I plan to go two months this time around at the most.  At the least this will be a thirty day cleanse.  I should have started this on the first…but it didn’t occur to me until just now how how much I’ve neglected this blog.  I apologize to my followers.  I think I will track and post my juice recipes and other consumptions for the day, starting today.

Juices:

  • whole beet, three oranges and three bartlett pears
  • whole cucumber, half pineapple (without skins if not organic) and six carrots

Teas:

  • two bags republic of tea’s “decaf people’s green” steeped in room temp water
  • ginger berry and multigreen synergy kombuchas

I also try to drink about a gallon a day of water, it’s important to make sure that the body is getting a lot of water when fasting.  When I had first decided to do an extended fast I wasn’t drinking enough water for the first week or so and my body was very upset about that.  Now that I’m aware of that detail these first few days have been a cakewalk.

Seriously&#8230;I was a little skeptical, but I just ate the entire bag.  So friggin good.  I got them at Whole Foods but you can also buy them here.  I suggest it, great way to get your kale intake.  Also, I want to apologize fore being so absent recently, I&#8217;ve been unable to make new recipes due to the holidays.  But, now they&#8217;re over and I will be adding new posts very soon.  Hope you all had a good holiday and a swell new year.

Chocolate Crunch Banana Ice Cream

SO good.  Break apart two bananas and freeze for at least two hours.  In a food processor add the frozen bananas and a spoonful of raw cacao nibs.  Pulse until bananas are creamy.  Add five dates and pulse until dates are chunky, do not let them get smooth, the date chunks are a great touch.  Hooray for easy desserts!
